The days of childhood dreams. Perhaps who we are today is due to the influence of those dreams and our earliest flights of imagination. For Vanessa, her earliest memories spring from her pursuit of artistic expression. Most often she was warmly encouraged. Sometimes not -- as in kindergarten, when she had to print her name precisely -- without artistic embellishment.

In high school she made a pivotal decision to pursue a career in art. Perhaps Vanessa's brush with authority while in kindergarten most clearly identified for her, her lifelong need for self expression and artistic creativity. She has had a successful graphic design career for over twenty years, including the start up of her own company, Lowry Vickers Design, nearly ten years ago.

Yet, Vanessa has an additional mission to fulfill -- a personal mission to encourage and support creativity within herself and others in ways that are emotionally, spiritually and even financially rewarding. That's why she created Purple Snowflake Studios.
